Robert Andrew Kerr

Mr. Kerr was born & raised in Washington, DC. After high school he attended the University of Rochester, in Rochester, New York, where he played on the varsity lacrosse team and was a captain his junior and senior years while graduating with a degree in Health & Society. After college he worked in clinical trials, helping perform research on drug safety and efficacy. This work included co-authoring two papers, Cost Effectiveness of Catheter Ablation in Patients with Ventricular Tachycardia and Selling in Managed Care Areas. After ten years of working with lung, prostate, and brain cancer research, he decided to attend law school.
In law school Mr. Kerr graduated Magna Cum Laude in the top 5% of his class, ranking ninth. He received the highest grades in his Legal Writing, Constitutional Law, and International Law classes, was named a Dean's Fellow for Property Law, received Dean's List honors for his last five semesters, and was Executive Editor of the St. Thomas University School of Law Intercultural Human Rights Law Review. Additionally, he received a Merit Scholarship and received the ABA-BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Health Law. As a law student Mr. Kerr also had his paper The Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act of 2005: Who Should Pay For Improved Outcomes? published in a leading health law journal
